Going on one of those diving holidays is a great thing to do there is no doubt about that and it is mainly because you spot some of the craziest looking animals in the world. Here are just a few of those sea creatures you could encounter if you are very lucky.
Blobfish
Although this sea creature is very rarely encountered by humans it can be found across deep waters of Australia and Tasmania and they live at depths where pressure is actually dozens of times higher than sea level. It is this pressure that allows the fish to laze about as they do and they actually do not even use much energy when they are eating.
Viperfish
This one is another strange one that lives among the depths of the ocean with needle teeth and hinged lower jaws. These fish will actually come up the shallow parts of the water at night and they hunt by attracting fish to them by lighting an organ up. They vary a lot in colour and some have been found in green, black and silver.
Weedy Sea Dragon
This is one of my favourite deep sea animals because it is one of the very few sea creatures to have built in camouflage. They have very small fins that propel them forward and it gives off the illusion that you are only seeing a piece of seaweed float across the waters. The way that they mate is truly amazing also as they seem to dance together. Note that the male carries the eggs like many other sea horses.
So although some of these are going to be rare when you go on Maldives divingholidays you still may have a chance at spotting them. If you spot them you have to be careful not to interfere. Of course ifshark diving is for you then make sure you get out there and spot some sharks!
