Scuba lessons provide us the basic knowledge and skills to be able to explore the underwater realm in a safe and comfortable manner.

Scuba diving offers many levels of certification and training, all require scuba lessons and all are conducted pretty much the same way.

All major scuba diving training organizations such as PADI, SSI, BSAC NAUI, provide scuba lessons in three important steps:

1. Theory scuba lessons

Before jumping in the water and staring learning to dive it is highly recommended to know and understand the basic theory behind scuba diving. Scuba theory lessons are generally based on self-studying, allowing the scuba students to learn and comprehend the information at he’s, hers own phase. A scuba diving student can self study by reading a scuba diving manual or watching a DVD.

Once self-studying is done, you and your scuba diving instructor will review the learned scuba lessons, and after passing a simple quiz you’ll be ready for the next step.

Another scuba lessons option is to purchase the online scuba e learning. E learning allows you to compete the entire theory session independently prior to starting you course and save money and time on your holiday.

2. Confined water training scuba lessons:

Once you know what you’re expected to do underwater its time to put that knowledge into practice. On the confined water training scuba lessons you practice the basic skills necessary for scuba diving in shallow water, clear visibility and easy dive conditions, under a direct supervision of a dive instructor. Confined water-training scuba lessons can be conducted in a swimming pool or in shallow water that can offer similar conditions.

3. Open water scuba lessons

Finally you’re at the open water, now its time to put all skills and knowledge learned and mastered on your scuba lessons into practice.

Open water scuba lessons dives generally start shallow, practicing a few skills, then gradually go deeper as your comfort level increases.

Upon completing all scuba lessons and at some levels passing a final exam you will get certified. Most dive organizations recognize each other’s training and certification.
